Donations to the Citadel Theatre can be made in many different ways!

Newcomer Campaign

Gift the magic of theatre to a newcomer in Edmonton!

Your donation of $50 will give the opportunity for a newcomer in Edmonton to be welcomed by warm beverages, sweet treats, swinging music, and live theatre!

Our first Newcomers events saw one hundred lucky newcomers attend one of our productions after attending the pre-show party. The parties feature live music, warm beverages, and sweet treats, generously provided by our friends at Tim Hortons (Devon).

A donation to the Citadel Theatre will ensure that our newcomers know that they always have a place to find laughter and joy in our community! The Citadel Theatre's artistic vision is prided as being Inclusive, Innovative, and International, ensuring that all stories have an opportunity to be told. Your donation helps ensure a thriving, lively, and engaging arts and culture scene in our city!

Hearing Loop

Theatre should be for everyone. Help us become even more accessible with a donation of $50 or more towards the installation of a Hearing Loop system in the Shoctor Theatre. With your donation, our deaf or Hard-of-Hearing patrons will no longer feel deterred from enjoying world-class theatre due to their hearing loss. Individual Contributions

Since 1965, the Citadel Theatre has been the artistic and cultural heart of our community. With your donation, you can ensure that the Citadel Theatre continues to make a positive difference to all members of our community:

  • With your generosity, 130,000 audience members will experience the stories created by a local playwright who was able to receive dramaturgical support and development workshops through the Play Development program.
  • With your dedication, a group of differently-abled adults were able to take advantage of subsidized tickets through the Tickets for All program and experience the Inclusive, Innovative, and International artistic vision.
  • With your passion, a child with autism was able to develop their imagination and social skills through the I Can Pretend! program at the Foote Theatre School.
  • Your commitment to storytelling in Edmonton and your passion for the Citadel Theatre is the foundation of our success.

Milestone Moments

  • To commemorate a loved one or in celebration of a special occasion, Milestone Moments are a great way to recognize those who have a special place in your heart.

Seat Dedications

  • Have a plaque engraved with the name of a loved one on a seat in the Shoctor Theatre or the Maclab Theatre.

Planned Giving

  • Leave a lasting legacy at the Citadel Theatre and help us ensure a strong future.
  • Consulting your family and financial advisor is always recommended, as there are many Planned Giving options.

Your generosity allows us to fulfill our vision by:

  • Placing excellence on our stages with a wide variety of relevant, entertaining and challenging work that more than 100,000 people enjoy annually,
  • Advancing the talents and aspirations of young, emerging and established artists through the creative development programs of our Academy, which provides training, mentorship and employment.
  • Providing opportunities for all members of our community to become more deeply involved in the creative process through imaginative and original programming, created to strengthen the bond between patrons and artists.
