Is there a Blu-ray/DVD or digital download version for sale?
We are not currently offering any sort of permanent purchase of Horizon Series LIVE! shows.
What is a Streaming Pass?
A Streaming Pass is a redeemable code that will allow you to watch The Citadel Theatre’s filmed productions at home over the internet. When you purchase your Streaming Pass you will receive a confirmation of purchase, and then a second email between the hours of 9am and 10pm with instructions on how to redeem your pass and watch the show.
There may be a delay of up to 12-24 hours after purchasing your code until you receive it from our Box Office team – we recommend planning your household’s viewing 1-2 days in advance!
How can I purchase a Streaming Pass for the Horizon Series LIVE! shows?
You can purchase a pass for A Brimful of Asha or all three Horizon Series LIVE! shows. Single streams for Mary’s Wedding and Heaven will be available at a later date. Click here to book online or call our Box Office at 780.425.1820! NOTE: If you book online, there may be a delay of up to 12-24 hours after purchase until your code is sent from our Box Office.
Can I watch with my friends and/or family?
Absolutely! You can watch alone, or with your whole household! One Streaming Pass is good for as many people as live in your home with you. If you would like to share it with people beyond your physical home, we suggest purchasing additional Streaming Passes as gifts.
Can I give a Streaming Pass as a gift?
You can! You can purchase a Streaming Pass Code for each household you’d like to gift the show to, and then just provide the recipient with their unique code and instructions on how to access the streaming video.
Is this version restricted to only Edmonton or Alberta residents?
A Brimful of Asha is only available in Alberta due to licensing restrictions. Mary’s Wedding and Heaven are available Canada-wide.
I have a credit on my account either from a gift certificate, or a show cancelled by COVID-19 can I use it to purchase a Streaming Pass?
Yes! We suggest calling our Box Office at 780.425.1820 so that one of our staff can help you redeem your credit into a Streaming Pass.
How do I watch the show?
Once you receive your access code from our Box Office, you will be directed to build an account with Broadway On Demand, our hosts for Citadel Online. After building your account, you’ll find instructions on how to input the code. You will then have 48 hours once the code has been entered to view the production online. It can be viewed as many times as you’d like within that 48 hour window. We recommend plugging it in or casting it to your TV to view on a larger screen!
Can I watch in another language?
Unfortunately, no. We can only offer an English version of the show at this time.
Is there closed captioning?
Yes! We are proud to offer closed captioning on all of our Streaming Video versions of our plays.
Are there any system requirements to view the streams?
Our videos play similar to a YouTube video. If your internet connection is strong enough to handle a Zoom call or Netflix binge, you'll have no trouble watching the show!
What do I do if there is a problem with the streaming?
If you have any questions or concerns regarding your access codes, please contact email@example.com. We will monitor this inbox until 10pm every night. Otherwise, we will reply after 9am the following morning. If you are experiencing technical difficulties or questions related to your Broadway on Demand account or the video stream, please direct your questions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
