What’s new for Spring and Summer?

  • PUPPETS! For the first time ever, we’re offering a four-day Puppetry Camp, for ages 10-12, taught by local actor/director/puppeteer Kate Ryan. Your child will learn how to make and bring life to their very own puppet. Come see their puppet show on Friday July 5.

Kate Ryan has been acting, directing, and teaching professionally for over 20 years in Edmonton, as well as across Canada and the United States. She is an instructor at the Citadel Theatre’s Young Musical Company, as well as in MacEwan University’s Theatre Arts program. Kate’s experience with Puppetry began as a child, watching and learning from her parents. She continued studying this important and captivating art form into her professional career and has performing and teaching workshops for schools, festivals, special events, The John Janzen Nature Centre, and The Edmonton Public Library.

  • TEENPROVISORS. Kidprovisors, our partnership with Rapid Fire Theatre offering improvisation for students ages 6-12, has been such a big hit we’ve decided to expand it to include older students. This spring, we’re offering Teenprovisors, taught by RFT member Quinn Contini, for teens aged 13-17. No experience is needed to become a part of this exciting program!
  • ACTING INTENSIVE FOR AGES 12-14. This summer, for the first time, we’re offering a two-week Acting Intensive for ages 12-14 in addition to the two-week musical intensive we’ve been running. Sophie Gareau-Brennan will lead you on a more in-depth examination of the acting process. This course runs July 2-12.
  • VICKI'S GOURMET BISTRO & CATERING. We’ve teamed up with our neighbour, Vicki’s Gourmet Bistro, to provide yummy lunches for children during our Spring Break and Summer Day Camps. For only $12 a day, your child will be given a sandwich, a salad, and a cookie! Choose from chicken, egg salad, vegetarian or ham and cheese sandwiches; and potato or macaroni salad or veggie sticks! There are gluten-free options as well. Lunch will be made and delivered fresh each day! Please see the registration form to add the lunch option.

We still have our regular line-up of camps and classes too! Remember: At Foote Theatre School, We have a class for YOU no matter your age or level of experience!
