Students Club

The Citadel Theatre believes that young people are integral to the artistic fabric of our community and we are committed to programming and initiatives that develop their creative voices and encourage their participation. Students Club offers a unique glimpse into the world of professional theatre to a wide range of local junior and senior high school students. Prior to select performances of each of our Mainstage shows, members gather for a light supper and then participate in a highly engaging, interactive presentation with one of our region’s talented theatre artists, covering some aspect of theatre – from choreography to design, from stage combat to Shakespeare. Following the performance, students stay for an informative talkback with members of the production’s cast and crew.

Prior to Students Club performances of Sweat, students will enjoy an interactive workshop with Rachel Bowron.

An Edmonton based actor, Rachel’s most recent theatre credits include Crazy for You (Citadel Theatre/Theatre Calgary); Avenue Q (Citadel Theatre); A Lesson In Brio, Barefoot in the Park, The Hoof and Mouth Advantage (Teatro la Quindicina); Fallen Angels (Bright Young Things); Legoland (Blarney Productions); The Last Resort, Don’t Dress For Dinner (Mayfield Dinner Theatre); and It’s A Bird, It’s A Plane, It’s Superman (Plain Jane Theatre). She is a three-time Sterling nominated actor, and was music director of the St. Albert Children’s Theatre for 9 years.
