The Citadel Theatre is proud to share our productions and our passion for theatre with school audiences from Edmonton and the surrounding communities. We offer special school matinee performances for school groups for many of the productions in our season, and consider these to be an essential part of our programming. We believe that all individuals should have the opportunity to experience, appreciate, and participate in live theatre.

The Students Club Season Ticket Package includes the six mainstage productions with a light supper and presentation by a working member of the Edmonton theatre community before the performance, and a talk-back with members of the cast and crew after the show.
We offer a wide variety of workshops for your students. You can choose from the following topics, or ask about something different!
- Acting/Character Development
- Musical Theatre
- Stage Combat
Workshops can take place at the Citadel or at your school. Workshops are between 45 to 120 minutes. Arrange a workshop either before or after the School Matinee at a reduced cost and your students may pay as little as $5 per hour per instructor!

Spend the week immersed in the performing arts! Students will get to explore the Citadel Theatre from the inside out through the lens of curriculum-based activities integrating drama, music, improvisation, theatre history, and much more. Students will learn by doing, as well as by interviewing the many people who contribute to our theatre season. This will help them to gain an understanding and appreciation of the collaboration, innovation, and creativity that go into making a successful production. By spending a week in the Arts District downtown, students will learn about the importance that Arts and Culture have within our community. For more information, click here.
