    Last summer, Ruth and her family moved to Edmonton from the U.K. Theatre credits include: Richard III, The Winter’s Tale (Northern Broadsides U.K. Tour), Les Misérables (U.K. Tour), Sweeney Todd, David Copperfield (Manchester), Blonde Bombshells of 1943 (Hampstead Theatre, London), Macbeth, and Hamlet (Liverpool). On television she appeared as a recurring character on Coronation Street. She was also a regular member of the BBC Radio Drama team. She is thrilled to be making her Canadian debut on the Shoctor stage.

    Benjamin Camenzuli is a multi-talented singer, actor, and musician. He recently performed in Juke Box Hero, a new musical featuring the songs of Foreigner. Past credits include Grease (Roger, Irregular Productions) in Toronto in two companies.  Other credits include Once (Swing and Sveç, Mirvish Productions and Neptune Theatre Company); Heart of Steel (Next Stage Festival); and South Pacific (Luther Bills, Oklahoma City Repertory Theatre). Benjamin would like to thank The Talent House, his family, his dog Daisy, and his wonderful girlfriend Kaley. Benjamin is a graduate of Oklahoma City University.

    Christina is a Vancouver based multidisciplinary artist. She works as an actor, musician, musical director, and theatre educator across Canada. She has worked with The Firehall Arts Centre, The Gateway Theatre, The Globe Theatre, Persephone Theatre, Project X, Theatre North West, Twenty Something Theatre, Shameless Hussy Productions, Sum Theatre and Western Canada Theatre. Christina is an Associate Artist with Firepot Performance and is currently pursuing further education in expressive art therapies and education. She is a graduate of The Canadian College of Performing Arts.

Also a composer and playwright, her original musical, Brave Girl, will be premiering at Lunchbox Theatre in October. She is a graduate of Pace University (BFA Musical Theatre), Mount Royal University (Theatre Performance Diploma), and the Arts Club Actors Intensive. After training at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Lawrence went on to appear in the West End production of American Idiot and the international tour of Footloose. An Edmonton-based performer, designer, musician, and visual artist, she was recently nominated for a Sterling Award for Best Original Score for Blood of Our Soil (Pyretic Productions). Favorite credits include Infinity (Theatre Network); 10 Out of 12 (Wildside Productions); and lighting design for Les Neiges, and La Raccourcie (L'UniThéâtre). She is currently developing her solo show, Moonshine, with Mavka Theatre. Love to the family.

    John is no stranger to the Citadel stage.  Last year he appeared in Shakespeare in Love and Mamma Mia! Favourite past productions include Death of a Salesman, Rocky Horror Show, The Pillowman, Billy Bishop Goes to War, I Am My Own Wife, and The Mystery of Irma Vep.  He has just returned from the Edinburgh Fringe where he directed Operation EVAsion produced by his company, Firefly Theatre.  Later this season he will appear in Matilda.

    Alexa “Lexi” Zhang is pleased to debut her acting career as the youngest cast member in the Citadel’s production of Once as Ivanka. She is an accomplished dancer, pianist, and singer, and is best known for her stellar singing performance in the 2018 Chinese New Year Ceremony with an audience of 800 people. Other notable achievements include figure skating competitions and a spectacular downhill skiing performance. Lexi is grateful to her parents and her sister Ally for their tremendous support.

    Louise is delighted to be returning to the Citadel where she has designed lights for over 40 productions. She has designed lighting for over 500 shows across Canada and the U.S. at many theatres including Stratford, Shaw, WCTC, Grand Theatre, NAC, Manitoba Theatre Centre, Globe, Neptune, Kennedy Center, and New York Shakespeare Festival. She has received multiple award nominations across the country and received the 1992 Dora Mavor Moore Award for Best Lighting Design for a Musical.

    Matthew Skopyk is an Edmonton-based sound designer and composer. Recent design/composition credits include Romeo & Juliet, Or the Whale, Vigilante, Playing with Fire:The Theo Fleury Story, ENRON, Whisper, Michelle et Ti Jean, Palace of the End, Titus Andronicus, As You Like It, Macbeth, Much Ado About Nothing, Richard III, Twelfth Night, and Othello. Matthew is also the current sound supervisor for the Department of Drama at the University of Alberta.

    Dorian Lang is an MFA Directing candidate at the University of Alberta where he most recently staged Medea and True West.  Raised in Edmonton, Dorian has spent the last ten years creating theatre in Halifax.  Dorian directed award winning productions of A Story of a Sinking Man (Shot in the Dark Theatre) and Spirits (Up the Hill Productions).  Dorian has also been seen on stage in Shakespeare by the Sea’s productions of Pinocchio, As You Like It, and King Lear.

    David holds an MFA in performance from York University. He is a Professor in the Drama Department at the University of Alberta where he teaches Voice and Speech, Dialects, and Acting. He spent ten seasons as a Voice Coach at Canada’s Stratford Festival and continues to be a regular instructor in Stratford’s Birmingham Conservatory. He has done numerous feature newspaper interviews commenting on dialects and vocal performance and has been featured in two CBC documentaries on Canadian speech. His “Three minutes toa Proper British Dialect” video has been seen over a million times on YouTube.
