    Hannah Adamson is 11 years old, from St. Albert. Last year she was in a musical theatre production of Emma. She was a finalist at the World Championship of Performing Arts, winning her division for Broadway musical as well as multiple gold and silver medals for singing. Her musical training for voice, piano, guitar, drums, and theatre has been through Visionary Centre of the Performing Arts. Recent choreography and dance under the guidance of Ida Beltran-Lucila. Hannah loves a live audience!

    Elyse is delighted to be playing the role of Alice for her debut theatre performance. She loves to sing, and is currently studying voice at the MacEwan University’s Conservatory of Music. Elyse enjoys many different genres of dance at Lecky School of Dancing. She is currently a grade five student at Holy Cross Académie Internationale. When she isn’t at school, voice, piano, or dance, she loves spending time with friends, travelling with family, skiing, and surfing.

    Anna is an award-winning competitive dancer and musical theatre soloist. Anna studies at Encore Studios in Winnipeg with Julie Lumsden and Donna Fletcher. Anna provides voice over for cartoon series and commercials. Anna thanks her teachers, friends and family who have supported her on this amazing journey, but especially everyone at Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, The Citadel Theatre and her parents for believing in her.     Will is thrilled to be returning to the Citadel stage, joining the amazing cast of Matilda. He has previously appeared in A Christmas Carol, Evangeline (Citadel Theatre); James and the Giant Peach, Charlotte’s Web, Anne of Green Gables, and Oliver! (Festival Place); and Big Fish (Grant MacEwan University).  Will is currently in Grade 8 at F.R. Haythorne Jr. High in Sherwood Park.  The stage is his favourite place to be, and he hopes you love the show as much as he does!

    Cassandra is thrilled to be making her first appearance at the Citadel with this magical show. She has previously performed in Joseph, Annie, Mary Poppins, Little Mermaid and West Side Story at Rainbow Stage. She can be seen in the Syfy Television show Channel Zero as the headlining monster The Tooth Child. Cassandra has been performing for Disney over the past two years as a lead in their world famous shows onboard their cruise ships. Sending love to my family.

    Angelo is a grade 6 student at St. Benedict, originally from the Philippines.  Angelo performed in Amahl and the Night Visitors (Trinity Players) for two years, and has been a member of the children’s choir at his church since 2015. He sang the role of Young Harvey Milk with Ron Long, as well as In Dreams with the ESO, both at Winspear Centre. Last year, he performed at the Botanical Gardens with the Edmonton Opera, and also sang O Canada at Farmfair International.

Quickly finding her love in musical theatre, she is always looking ahead for more. Julia is 10 years old and in grade 5.     Alex Scrimger is in grade six at Belgravia School. He enjoys Highland dancing, piano, and has a purple belt in Taekwondo. His favourite role was Oliver in his school play, Oliver Twist, in grade four. He is thrilled for all of his grandparents to see him in his first Citadel role! Roald Dahl is one of Alex’s favourite authors and he is super excited to be in a play based on a book by him.

    Lilla is thrilled to share Matilda’s story and to be part of this amazing cast and crew! She started acting at Foote Theatre, she sings in Cantilon Choirs, and dances at SDC. You may remember her from the Citadel’s  A Christmas Carol (2015-17) as Tiny Tim. Special thanks to Shelley Tookey, Mhairi Berg, her teachers, friends, and family for all their support. He is also co-founder of Firefly Theatre and Circus, and a notable street performer whose works include The Human Fountain and The 21st Century Gargoyles.

Choreography credits include Passing Strange (Musical Stage/ Obsidian); Seussical: The Musical (YPT); Bittergirl (RMTC); James and the Giant Peach, Honk! (MTYP); Annie, Miss Saigon (Rainbow); and was the associate choreographer of the North American/Asian tours of Hairspray: The Musical (NETworks).  She is the recipient of two Dora nominations, a Prix Rideau Award, and the 2017 Gina Wilkinson Prize.

    Brad hails from Vancouver, where he has cobbled together a career in sound design and engineering over the past fifteen years. He designed his first shows in high school, fell in love with the challenging combination of technical audio and musical theatre, and just kept on working and learning (some say he is still learning to this day). He's happy to be back at Citadel with Matilda, after bringing Onegin to the Maclab with Catalyst Theatre a year ago.

    A graduate of CapU, Anna is delighted to be making her Citadel debut.  Most recent credits include Mom’s the Word 3, and CIRCLE GAME: Reimagining the Music of Joni Mitchell – a show she created and directed with her husband, Andrew Cohen.  Both shows are currently on tour with The Arts Club.  Anna worked as a Mass Movement Choreographer on the Rio 2016 Paralympic Opening Ceremony in Brazil, and the 2017 AIMAG Opening Ceremony in Turkmenistan. Much love to all the Maggots.

    Aretha is a jazz and classical bassist who works as a performer, composer, and recording artist. She has been involved in a number of theatre productions, including Hadestown, Mamma Mia!, Bittergirl (Citadel); and Mary and Max (TC). She graduated with a Bachelor of Music in jazz performance from the University of Toronto in 2016. She thanks the Citadel and Don, Daryl, Kimberly, Jacob, Jen, and Kirby.

    Allison apprenticed at Neptune Theatre after graduating from Dalhousie University. Credits include The Atlantic Theatre Festival, The Stratford Festival, The Arts Club, Firehall, Gateway, Presentation House, Ruby Slippers, Western Canada Theatre, Caravan Stage Barge, Japan and Singapore tours with Mermaid Theatre, and Atlantic Canada House - 2010 Olympics. Most recently she stage managed Three Winters at The Eastside Cultural Centre, and toured Onegin through Western Canada. She is also a stage management instructor at Douglas College.
