    Thomas is thrilled to be making his Citadel Theatre debut. He has worked at theatres across the country including Theatre Calgary, the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, Neptune Theatre, The Grand Theatre, and Drayton Entertainment's many venues all over Southwestern Ontario. Thomas spent a year as part of the Original Canadian Company of Kinky Boots at Toronto’s Royal Alexandra Theatre. He can be seen in the feature film Stage Fright and on PBS’ Odd Squad as part of the boy band ‘SoundCheck.’

John has also appeared at many other theatres in Canada including The Grand Theatre, Vancouver Playhouse, The Belfry, The Segal Centre, and Theatre Calgary as well as the company he co-founded - Firefly Theatre.

He spent 18 seasons as a composer at the Stratford Festival, and music directed Three Penny Opera. He has five Dora Awards, four Elizabeth Sterling Haynes Awards, and a Betty Mitchell award.
