Front of House Volunteers

The Citadel Theatre is the largest theatre company in Western Canada and one of the largest in all of Canada. We produce thirteen shows a year, not including other events that come through our performance spaces. On any given night, we could have somewhere between 200 to 2000 people come through our doors.

The Citadel Theatre is in need of Front of House Volunteers. We’re looking for some mature, responsible people to join our professional crew of Front of House Ushers in a wide range of positions including ticket-takers, ice cream sellers, greeters and coat checkers.

Citadel volunteers enjoy unique opportunities to learn about theatre life. Work inside the various theatre spaces that we house, learn how sets are built and how special effects are achieved!

Some of our volunteers have been with us for over 15 years, helping to put a smile on the thousands of faces that visit our building each year. If you have a genuine interest in customer service and would like to uncover theatre ‘secrets’, then volunteering at the Citadel might be a rewarding way to spend a few hours each week.

What You Get:

What We Need:

• Availability of a minimum four nights a month, four to five hours a night
• A positive, outgoing personality
• A love of theatre

We’ll train you and give you everything you need to work in our theatre. We’re looking forward to having you!
