We endeavour to minimize the inconvenience to our patrons and the actors when seating latecomers. If you arrive late for a performance, you will be seated at the first appropriate moment in the designated latecomer seating. You are welcome to move to your assigned seat at intermission. If you must leave the theatre during a performance you will not be allowed to return to your seat until intermission.
The Citadel Theatre does not allow babes-in-arms or children under five years of age into our theatres. Please see individual play descriptions for specific age recommendations.
Some of our plays are intended for mature audiences. Please check with our Box Office if you require additional information regarding the content of any of our plays.
Please turn off your cellphone and any other light- or sound-emitting digital devices that might disrupt the performance or disturb those seated around you.
Video or still cameras, and all other recording devices are not permitted at any of the productions.
ATM (CASH MACHINE):
There are two ATMs (cash machines) located on the main floor of the Citadel: one on the Pedway in the Lee Pavilion, near the Second Cup, and another one near the Citadel Box Office.
PERFORMANCE START TIMES:
TUESDAY through SUNDAY EVENINGS: 7:30 p.m.
SATURDAY and SUNDAY MATINEES: 1:30 p.m.
CLUB PERFORMANCES: 8:00 p.m.
Hearing Enhancement Headsets (Shoctor)
We offer headsets to patrons with hearing difficulties. Ask at the coat check near the theatre. These are provided free of charge. You will be asked to leave your government issued license as a deposit until the headset is returned at the end of the performance.
T-coil Loop (Maclab)
The newly renovated Maclab Theatre now features an audio loop for individuals with reduced ranges of hearing. The loops carry baseband audio-frequency currents; no carrier signal is used. This allows the performance on stage to be transmitted to the hearing-impaired listener clearly and free of other distracting noise in the environment. Receivers for the audio loop system can be found at coat check and can be used with any stereo headset. Guests may bring their own headset or borrow a pair of our headsets or earbuds, free of charge. You will be asked to leave your government issued ID as a deposit until the receiver and/or headset is returned at the end of the performance.
Our theatres are accessible for wheelchair patrons. There are a limited number of wheel chair positions in each theatre. Please inform our Box Office when booking or exchanging your tickets of your specific needs and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
For the comfort and safety of those seated around you, please refrain from using scented products such as perfumes, cologne and strongly scented hair-care products before coming to the theatre. Strong scents can make it impossible for those with allergies to stay for the performance.
Please see Getting to the Citadel.
