Tom Wood

 

Tom Wood is an award-winning Canadian playwright, actor, and director.
He has adapted five plays for the Citadel Theatre, all of them critically-acclaimed and box office hits.

Other playwriting credits include the groundbreaking B-Movie, the Play; North Shore Live and Claptrap. He also adapted The Pirates of Penzance for Canada’s Stratford Festival.

A Christmas Carol

A Christmas Carol received its World Premiere at the Citadel Theatre, Edmonton, Alberta in November 2000, a part of the 2000-2001 Season. It was performed on the Maclab Stage from November 24 until December 24, 2000.

The play is now in its 10th production, as of the 2009-2010 season.

Peter Pan received its World Premiere at the Citadel Theatre, Edmonton, Alberta in April 2006, a part of the 2005-2006 40th Season.

It was performed on the Shoctor Stage from April 29 to June 4, 2006, and was held over one week until June 11, 2006.

Pride and Prejudice

Pride and Prejudice received its World Premiere at the Citadel Theatre, Edmonton, Alberta in September 2008. It was performed on the Shoctor Stage from September 20 –
October 12, 2008 with the participants of the first Banff Centre/Citadel Professional Theatre Program.

The play also received three performances at the Banff Centre, Banff, Alberta from August
21 to 23, 2008.

Servant of Two Masters received its World Premiere at the Citadel Theatre, Edmonton, Alberta in September 2002 during the 2002-2003 Season.

It was performed on the Shoctor Stage from September 21 – October 20, 2002.


Vanya

Vanya

Vanya received its World Premiere at the Citadel Theatre, Edmonton, Alberta in March 2005, part of the 2004-2005 season, and subsequently moved to the National Arts Centre in Ottawa as a co-production and part of Alberta Scene 2005.

It was performed on the Shoctor Stage from March 19 to April 10, 2005.
