When most of us think of the Citadel Theatre, we think of those exhilerating moments witnessed on the stage: a heart lifting musical, a powerful and moving drama, a hilarious comedy.
In order to bring those magic moments to the stage, however, it requires the work and support of thousands of people. Actors, directors, writers, dramaturgs, set designers, costume designers, stage managers, lighting and sound technicians, seamstresses, carpenters, painters, digital audio-visual technicians, box office and front of house personnel, marketing and administration staff. And that’s just the folks who work in the building.
It also takes patrons who love the theatre and come to performances. It takes volunteers to give up their precious time to help out with various theatre activities. It takes city business leaders who understand how vital a robust arts and culture sector is in building a strong quality of life in their community and therefore ally with the Citadel to provide financial and other support. It takes individual supporters of the Citadel who can afford to contribute to the Citadel’s finances through donations.
It takes YOU. We hope you will consider how you might play a role in supporting the Citadel so that we can continue to build outstanding live theatre now and for many years to come.
