You’ve been in the building, you’ve seen our outstanding productions, but did you know that ticket revenue only generates 45% of our operating budget?

As a not-for-profit theatre, we rely on the generosity of our patrons and the community to help us produce world-class theatre season after season.

Not only does your valued donation help support our productions, it will also benefit the Robbins Academy, Canada’s most comprehensive program for creative development in professional theatre.

As an added incentive, for the next four years, the Robbins Foundation Canada will match at 20% any new or increased donation. What a great opportunity for your donation to have added funding impact!

Donations to the Citadel Theatre can be made in many different ways:

• Individual contributions
  • All donations will be recognized with a letter of thanks and listed in our Annual Report.
  • Contributions of at least $10 receive a tax receipt in accordance with CRA guidelines.
  • Annual contributions of $200 or more will be recognized in our production playbills for one year.
  • If you would like your donation to remain anonymous, please let us know.
• Milestone Moments
  • To commemorate a loved one or in celebration of a special occasion, Milestone Moments are a great way to recognize those who have a special place in your heart.
• Seat Dedications
  • Have a plaque engraved with the name of a loved one on a seat in the Shoctor Theatre or the Maclab Theatre.
• Planned Giving
  • Leave a lasting legacy at the Citadel Theatre and help us ensure a strong future.
  • Consulting your family and financial advisor is always recommended as there are many Planned Giving options.
• Publicly Traded Securities
  • Donors no longer pay income tax on capital gains when publicly traded securities are donated to a registered charity.
  • Donors also receive a donation receipt for the full amount of the market value of the securities.
