ADULT DIVISION

All classes for ages 18 and up

ACTING

  • Three levels of adult acting are available.
    • Level I works on the building blocks of acting and the actor’s voice, body and working vocabulary.
    • Level II applies that work to more challenging monologues and scenes, while introducing more acting technique and honing the student’s skills.
    • Level III continues that work with a focus on one play (see class description for more details).
  • We also offer a popular Acting for the Camera class.
  • NEW! Introduction to Improv for Adults (Adults)
    Learn to think on your feet and enhance your public speaking skills.
  • NEW! Acting and Speech for English as a Second Language Students (Adults)
    Explore the basics of acting and theatre among other ESL and International students.

ADULT MUSICAL THEATRE

  • Provides the opportunity to work on singing, acting and dancing with a combination of ensemble and solo material suitable for all levels of experience

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Entry to all Professional Development classes is by application.

  • Classes for all ages, at all stages — including professional and emerging artists
  • These classes are designed to help artists continue to explore their creativity, develop new skills and keep learning throughout their careers.
  • We offer a different collection of workshops each year with discounts available for members (and apprentices) of CAEA and Foote Theatre School alumni.
  • The Professional Development Series will be offered in April / May 2009. Please check back in January 2009 for details.

Foote Theatre School Payment, Registration and Cancellation policies

Full payment must be made at the time of registration. We do not take registration over the phone. Registration is available by mail, fax or online.

Cancellations by the student (or parent/guardian) seven days or less before your first class will receive a full refund less a $50.00 handling fee.

Cancellations after your first class will receive a full refund less an $80.00 handling and teaching fee. There will be no refunds available after that time.

The Foote Theatre School reserves the right to cancel any class with insufficient enrolment. In that event, a full refund will be provided or we will try to place the student in another class.

Classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis (with the exception of classes open only by audition). Once a class is full, registrants will be placed on a waiting list in the order they are received.

All Theatre School classes are age and skill specific. Please read the age limits carefully.

Any exceptions to age limits or application procedures must be approved by the Theatre School Director.
