The message of A Christmas Carol is as important and relevant today as when it was first published in 1843. The gap between rich and poor continues to widen in Canada and around the world.
For the past eight years, audiences attending A Christmas Carol at the Citadel have donated a total of $395,038.96 to the Edmonton Food Bank. Members of the cast will again be accepting donations of cash and food following each performance with 100% of the funds collected going straight to the Food Bank.
