October 3 – 25, 2009
Rice Theatre
“Powerful, incendiary work … the sort of daring theatre far too absent from our stages these days.” –The New York Post
“This is an extraordinary, no-holds-barred drama.” –The London Telegraph
“Shocking, compelling and morally challenging.” –The Australian
Fifteen years after their three-month relationship ended, Una approaches Ray at his workplace seeking answers. Ray is reluctant to revisit his past and speak about the actions which led to his incarceration and emotional turmoil. But before the evening is over, the shocking truth about his and Una’s affair will come out.
In our complex world, some taboos must be explored, and David Harrower’s dramatic play about lust, love and lost innocence does so with honesty and fearlessness.
Winner of the 2007 Olivier Award for Best New Play
