Tickets are now on sale for 2013 Artists for Life, a fundraiser for HIV Edmonton, Camp fYrefly and YESS hosted by JTMF West.
2013 Artists for Life is proud to present Wil as our featured artist. Named 2005 WCMA Entertainer of the Year and selected as the songwriter for Travel Alberta’s “Remember to Breathe” campaign, Wil uses his legendary live performances to develop a roots-rock sound and create a style that is honest, edgy and raw, yet achingly beautiful all at once. One such performance was written up by the Calgary Sun as having so much “power and soul it could stop your heart.”

After the show, attendees will enjoy a catered reception with beer and wine provided by Alley Kat Brewery and Finnagan’s Pub, a silent auction filled with items donated by local artists, and a very special post-show dance party by local star Audrey Ochoa and the Crashers, plus the DJ stylings of The Urban Monks. We have over 50 artists participating in the annual Artists for Live event, an event continues to set the bar for arts-based fundraisers in Edmonton.
*** We are asking all guests to bring one (1) bottle of wine to donate to the Silent Auction. Red, white, bubbly – bring your favourite wine. One lucky guest will take home a table of wine, a collection of everyone’s favourites!

Tickets to the event are $100 for VIPs and $50 for General Admission. VIP TICKETS ARE 50% SOLD, QUANTITIES ARE LIMITED!

While a particular event may be a charity fund raiser and all or a portion of the proceeds designated in favour of a charity, there will need to be clear evidence that the ticket price is in excess of the usual and current ticket price to allow a finding that there is an eligible amount Where the amount of the advantage is 80% or less of the actual ticket price, a tax receipt may be issued for the difference. If there is no reasonably comparable event, then no portion of the ticket price can be viewed as an eligible amount.
Therefore, tax receipts will be issued as follows:
$100 VIP ticket – tax receipt will be issued for $72, as the average cost of admission for a Wil performance is $20 and average cost of a glass of wine or beer is $8.
$50 ticket – tax receipt will be issued for $22, as the average cost of admission for a Wil performance is $20 and average cost of a glass of wine or beer is $8.
$20 ticket – no tax receipt issued as HIV Edmonton only issues tax receipts for donations over $20.
