Dear Friends of the Citadel,

| Artistic Director Bob Baker |
Thanks to you, our dedicated and enthusiastic supporters, the Citadel has enjoyed several seasons of unprecedented success resulting in high quality productions, creative innovation, mentorship opportunities and expanded programming.
We are excited to present to you our 2009/2010 lineup of 12 exceptional theatrical events in a season that promises to be bigger, bolder and brighter than ever before.
With masterworks from some of the world's greatest theatre artists like TENNESSEE WILLIAMS, TOM STOPPARD, STEPHEN SONDHEIM, and WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE to exciting new works by Canadians MICHAEL HEALEY and DAN NEEDLES and Edmontonians TRACEY POWER, BETH GRAHAM and DANIELLA VLASKALIC – there is something for everyone.
In order to continue our leadership role in the arts community and to create a lasting legacy for our artists and our audiences, we are expanding our commitment to develop and produce new work by offering an interactive public play reading series, TEST DRIVE, as well as continuing our unique professional development program, the Citadel/Banff Professional Theatre Program.
We are also proud to play an important role in our community by offering opportunities for families and youth to share the magic of live theatre with a new adaptation of The Jungle Book, 10th Anniversary production of A Christmas Carol and by bringing back the phenomenally successful Disney's Beauty and the Beast.
With so many great choices, you may find it hard to choose. We make it easy for you by offering the ultimate in flexibility, seven subscription packages including our new Musical Theatre Series; free ticket exchanges and two convenient payment plans.
Our famously helpful Guest Services team will help you put together the combination that's right for you.
There are many opportunities to escape into a world of lighthearted fun and dazzling entertainment as well as some more intriguing, challenging fare to engage in. I look forward to seeing you at the Citadel.
