    Lara is a trilingual Dora-nominated, Toronto-based performer by way of Beirut, Lebanon, upstate N.Y., and Paris, France. Most recently, she was in the acclaimed remounts of Modern Times/Aluna Theatre’s Blood Wedding (Six Dora awards including Outstanding Production), and Theatre Fix’s The Container. Recent television credits include Murdoch Mysteries, Kim’s Convenience, Taken, Dark Matter and STiR, which has been showcased at numerous international film festivals. She is currently developing her first one-woman show. Love to R, S and the Arabian/Brodey clan.

Previous Citadel productions include: The Constant Wife, Death of a Salesman and A Christmas Carol, in which she performed for 10 years.     Camila Diaz-Varela is a Mexican-Canadian theatre maker and musician based in Tkaronto, on Dish with One Spoon wampum belt treaty territory. She was born in Kjipuktuk, on unceded Mi'kmaq territory (also known as Halifax, Nova Scotia) and is very proud of it. She performs both for theatre and as an independent singer-songwriter, and has presented original work in the Rhubarb Festival, Caminos Festival and SummerWorks Festival.     This is Michael's third appearance at the Citadel, having also performed in Marty Chan's, Forbidden Phoenix and Tom Wood's production of Romeo and Juliet. He is also a certified Fight Director with Fight Director's Canada. Favourite theatre credits include Daniel McIvor's, Arigato, Tokyo (Dora nominee); The Voice of the Turtle (CCC Award nominee-best actor); and working as Assistant Fight Director at the Stratford Festival for 2009 and 2010. She will be appearing soon in a new series, Rising Suns, as a series regular. Louisa is also a Certified Fight Instructor and the current Director of Training for Fight Directors Canada.

Directing credits include: Shakespeare in Love (Citadel), Love’s Labour’s Lost (Bard on the Beach); Liberation Days (Theatre Calgary); Mary Poppins (Persephone); Tribes (Canadian Stage); Generous (Tarragon); Afterplay (Shaw Festival); and international collaborations RETURN (TheSarajevo Project) and UBUNTU (The Cape Town Project). Daryl lives in Edmonton with his wife, Holly, and their sons, Liam, and Jack.

    Mieko is a playwright, actor, and director working in theatre, film, and television. Her plays, which include The Red Priest (Eight Ways To Say Goodbye)The Blue LightThe Dada PlayNisei Blue and I Am For You have been nominated for several awards, including the Governor General’s Literary Award for Drama and the City of Edmonton Book Prize. Mieko has also been the recipient of both the Carol Bolt Award and the Enbridge playRites Award for an Established Canadian Playwright. Her plays have been produced across Canada and the US and are translated into French, Russian, Czech, Greek and Japanese. Mieko is co-founder and current Artistic Director of Concrete Theatre, a nationally recognized 28-year-old TYA touring company. She is currently working on several new projects for young people, families and adults: The Silver Arrow, Burning MomConsent, and Mariam with Amena Shehab. She lives and works in Edmonton.

    Two-time Juno Award-winning singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Hawksley Workman is a staple of the Canadian music and arts scene. He boasts a catalogue of 16 solo releases, and a touring career that has seen him play over a thousand shows, headlining prestigious venues like Massey Hall in Toronto and The Olympia in Paris.  Workman’s award-winning theatre show, The God That Comes had successful runs at Toronto’s Tarragon Theatre, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, New Zealand Festival, and Denmark’s Arhus Festival.
